Mint announces ‘20 for 20 Pledge’, aiming to donate $1m on behalf of its customers for bushfire relief

Australian payments company, Mint Payments, announces its ‘20 for 20 Pledge’, donating 20% of its profits from every transaction processed throughout 2020 to aide in bushfire relief.

Sydney, AUS, Monday 13 January 2020:

Like so many others, we’ve been deeply affected by the bushfires that have devastated our country — watching on as thousands are left homeless or displaced, businesses and livelihoods destroyed, our precious wildlife wiped out, our incredible natural beauty reduced to ash. We’re told some will take decades to recover. Others may never.

As a proudly Australian-founded company that works with so many in the travel and tourism industry — friends, customers and communities, directly and indirectly impacted by this tragedy — we’re committed to providing meaningful long-term support to help our country recover, heal, and rebuild.

That’s why, for the whole of 2020, we’re pledging 20% of profits from every transaction we process, to support the AUSTRALIAN RED CROSS DISASTER RELIEF & RECOVERY FUND and WIRES WILDLIFE RESCUE.

Our goal: to donate $1m on behalf of our customers throughout the year, to help rebuild and reinvest in the communities and business that have been affected.

We hope that, together, we can in some small way help.

From the whole Mint family, our collective hopes and thoughts continue to be with all impacted by this tragedy. And our deepest gratitude to the incredible volunteers, firefighters and emergency service teams for their courageous work.

Stay safe Australia.
